Fully health tested working Labradors
Iverley, Stourbridge
Description
Very proud and excited to introduce our litter of working Labrador pups. Mum is our homebred black picking up and beating machine Lucy. Lucy has an elbow score of 0/0 and hip scores of 2+2/4. She is fully DNA hereditary clear for EIC, HNPK CNM, PRA and SD2. She is a loving an affectionate little bitch but comes alive when she knows its time to work. She is fast, trustworthy and follows her nose which never lets her down, she is a really valuable part of the team and works happily for male and female, novice and experienced handlers. She is uber trainable and biddable, she placed 3rd in her first ever working test in her age-appropriate group. She worked 20+ days last season on a 6,000 acre estate all 150 to 250 bird days and loved every second. She is a valuable asset to our team and a pleasure to own and be around on a daily basis. We have only bred this litter to keep a puppy for ourselves to join our picking up team and be aimed towards a trialling career. The sire is our own stud Gus, Field Trail Winner Rustler Master. This dog has been an absolute pleasure to train, he is kind, biddable and honest with an abundance of drive and power. He has travelled the country for training days from eating up Yorkshire walls, snipe bogs in Wales and dense woodland closer to home; whatever he is put at he never fails to excel and is happy to tackle any terrain to do his job. He proved his trainability by winning his first ever trial. In a strong field of dogs Gus picked some great birds and then had a tricky retrieve out of sight of his handler in seriously thick bracken where he showed off his drive and willingness to do what is asked of him. The judges comment “he was relentless for you there, he never gave up” As a shooting man I also use Gus as a peg dog and for duck flighting. Also throughout the season we pick up on a 6000 acre estate shooting 250-300 bird days weekly. He is soft mouthed and doesn’t make any noise as tested in competition under the watchful eye of four judges. He is level headed in the most hectic of situations with birds dropping and relishes being in the thick of it. Gus is proven at stud and is showing good strong pups and is throwing black and yellow. Gus has hip and elbow scores of 0-0, 3-3 and is tested hereditary clear for PRA, EIC, HNPK, SD2 and CNM.
Pups will be KC registered and will come with 5 weeks free KC insurance. We have black and yellow, dogs and bitches available. They will have had their first set of vaccines and will be microchipped. They will be up to date with flea and worming treatments and will go to their new homes with a comprehensive puppy pack, a supply of puppy food and a scented blanket of mum and siblings. Our vet will also give them a puppy health check which will also be included in their documents. These pups will be an asset to any working home, whether your looking for a smart shooting dog or want to train a potential trialling dog, these pups will tick all the boxes. Knowing both parents temperament and nature we are confident that they will be a pleasure to own and train and will be well rounded and sociable dogs. Working homes will take preference and pet homes must offer an active and stimulating lifestyle. No full time workers. Viewings will take place when pups are 6 weeks old week commencing 11 April and will be ready for their new homes at 8 weeks old week commencing 25 April. £400.00 deposit secures you a pup from the litter and will be required in order to arrange a viewing at 6 weeks.
