- Exercise-Induced Collapse (EIC)

- Hereditary nasal parakeratosis (HNPK)

- Progressive Retinal Atrophy (prcd-PRA)

- Skeletal Dysplasia 2 (SD2)

- Stargardt disease 1 (STGD)

- Macular corneal dystrophy (MCD)

😊 Being clear in the above tests means that pups sired by Ted cannot be affected by horrendous hereditary diseases.

Appearance - Ted is a stunning working type Lab; with a big broad head, muscular physique and ample bone structure. In our opinion he’s one of the best looking around, weighing in at a nice healthy weight of 35kg.

His coat is silky solid dark red with no speckles or white markings.

Pups - Producing good sized litters of quality, stunning & trainable solid pups. He adds size to the pups if your bitch carries a smaller frame - a couple of pictures are within the advert 🐶

Nature/temperament - Ted has a caring yet confident temperament, not a bad bone in his body, he aims to please, loving people as much as he loves life! Taking new experiences and scenarios in his stride he's a true pleasure to call ours. He trains easily as do his offspring. Living calmly in our home environment he is very much part of the family. On the field, he has plenty of drive and he is honestly a joy to own. In his stud role, he gets the job done gently (with smaller bitches too) quickly and respectfully!

Pedigree - Ted’s 5 generation includes sort after kennel names and hosts FTCH’s / FTW’s including the Drakeshead lineage.

Progesterone testing - We recommend that prior to visiting, bitches are tested to see if they have ovulated and when they are ready for mating. The quick and easy test makes the mating more comfortable and you have peace of mind that the timing is right. Further advice can be provided, please just ask if unsure ☺️

Paperwork - following the mating you’ll leave with a paperwork pack that you can show to potential puppy owners, it includes a copy of Ted’s pedigree and a stud contract.

Stud fee - £300 payable on our premises at the first visit regardless if you choose 1 or 2 visits (natural mating).

Many thanks 😊

Labrador Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy without you viewing it first
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Labrador Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website
  • Seller asks you to send money to a bank account with a different name to the person you have been communicating with
  • The dog/puppy is advertised significantly cheaper than similar listings

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
