Cara's ideal home

Cara is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take her on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help her settle in and give her all the love and attention she deserves. She is a friendly bean who can live with secondary school children who are confident with larger dogs, who can play with her nicely and will give her space to rest when needed. Cara would like to be the only pet in her home, but she would love to have polite and friendly walking buddies when out and about. Cara has some training under her belt, she does a lovely “sit” and “paw”, she is a clever bean and can be enticed to engage in training if a tasty treat is on offer, she would benefit from loose lead walking training as she is strong on the lead. She is looking for a home with a private, secure garden for her to potter about in. Cara can get a little worried being left, she could be left for up to 1-2 hours and this would need to be built up slowly once she has had time to settle into her new home. Cara will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Inquisitive girl Cara is a 3 year old Labrador Cross who loves to sniff and explore the world around her. True to her Lab side she is a foodie girl at heart, she will take any treat you offer gently by the hand, and will offer her paw to you in expectation of treats, even if you don’t have any to give. Once she knows you she is a cuddly girl, she will lean in for a neck scratch and will sometimes even attempt to climb onto your lap for ultimate snuggles. This fantastic lady is on the hunt for her new home.
