About This Dog for Adoption

Luna's ideal home

Luna is a sweet 4 year old chocolate Labrador, who will need to be rehomed with her sister Xena. Luna is the more confident of the two and is a big ball of energy. She can live with children aged 11+ who are confident with her bouncy nature, but would prefer a house where there are no other dogs, other than her best friend Xena! Luna is housetrained and can be left alone for 1-4 hours in the house, so any potential adopters should be willing to build this up with her over time. She has lots of energy which she loves to burn off on long, sniffy walks and playing with her favourite people! At the end of a fun day of activities, Luna loves nothing more than to cuddle up on the sofa.

Could you be Luna's perfect match?

Luna has lived with cats previously, but could be a bit hyper around them, so her new family would need to be experienced at introducing cats and dogs. She is strong on the lead and can pull when she's found a scent she loves. She is fine passing dogs at a distance whilst on-lead, but is a bit underconfident and can bark at dogs up close. Luna has been working happily with her kennel carers on her dog social skills and we are confident she will become more relaxed with time. Overall, she is the most loving, sweet girl and we can't wait for her and Xena to find their forever home.

Dogs Trust Adoption Process

Thinking of adopting through Dogs Trust? Here's what to expect before you start your application.

  • Register your interest in adoption on the Dogs Trust website - you can't apply for specific dogs directly.
  • Create an account to favourite dogs you're interested in and help the team understand your preferences.
  • Dogs Trust will match you with dogs that fit your lifestyle and home environment.
  • Some dogs listed here may already be rehomed or reserved, as updates can take time to sync.
  • If matched, you'll go through their adoption and home-check process before taking your new dog home.
