About This Dog for Adoption

Hollie's ideal home

Meet Hollie, she's a beautiful 4 year old Labrador cross Staffordshire bull terrier who has so much love to give. She is a bundle of joy who gets very excited when she is around people and also loves being out on walks. Hollie seeks out fuss and attention from her handlers as she loves to be in human company but she can sometimes show appeasements and become nervous when over fussed. Due to this, she is able to live with older primary school aged children 10yrs and up who will be able to understand Hollie's body language when she is showing she is uncomfortable at times. Socialising with other dogs is also something that Hollie gets excited about so she could have doggy walking friends but she would not like to live with another dog as she can become underconfident and overwhelmed around other dogs sometimes. Hollie may be able to live with cats but this would depend on management in the home. A private garden would be preferred for Hollie so she can have her own space to roam about and play in as she has a lot of energy but she could cope with a communal garden. Once settled, Hollie is able to have leaving hours increasing from 1-4 hours over time as she settles well in known areas.

Could you be Hollie's perfect match?

Hollie came into our care from no fault of her own and is such a sweet, loving natured dog . She would really benefit from having some dog socialisation training to help build up her confidence around other dogs. Hollie would also benefit from some settle work training as she can become very excited so learning how to control Hollie's excitement behaviours like jumping up would benefit her to get to her full potential. Hollie would make such a great companion who for sure will give lots of love and cuddles as well as fun and adventure!
