About This Dog for Adoption

Mav's ideal home

Meet Mav - a beautiful 1-year old Labrador looking for his forever home! Mav isn't able to live with another dog in the home as he can be boisterous and quite pushy & needs a little bit of support on his social skills! Mav is able to live with confident children 11yrs+ that are happy to deal with big bouncy dogs.
Mav is a lovely, excitable young lad who is looking forward to settling into his new forever home! He has been through a lot of change recently and can get quite upset when he's being left on his own, so he will need some help and support on settling and coping alone.
Mav can jump up and he is quite strong on lead, so needs patient owners that are willing to use his foodie nature to teach him calmer behaviours.
Mav can be very excited to meet other dogs, but can be very intense off-lead - we still haven't managed to find him a friend tolerant enough to cope, but he will get there!
Mav would really benefit from an active home that can give him the exercise, enrichment and training he'll need and enjoy.

Could you be Mav's perfect match?

Mav is a gorgeous lad looking for an active family that can take him on plenty of sniffy adventures to keep his brain busy. He is fully housetrained and likes to keep his space clean, and travels perfectly in the car.
Mav is a big lag and he is strong, so he will be working on his 4-paws-on-the-ground training as he risks bowling you over!
He's such a loving lad, who's favourite thing is meeting new people going out for walks - he can get a bit overexcited in new environments but it's all because of his love of exploring.
Mav is great for all sorts of handling, he's just a wiggly, excitable lad! He loves fuss from people, so vet visits are a walk in the park.
Mav may need to work on his time left alone, so would like a home who is able to stay with him for a lot of the time initially, and willing to build this time up.
Mav is a super foodie boy, and this will help with all of his training. He also loves playing with his toys - one for the labrador lovers!!

  • Create an account to favourite dogs you're interested in and help the team understand your preferences.
  • Dogs Trust will match you with dogs that fit your lifestyle and home environment.
  • Some dogs listed here may already be rehomed or reserved, as updates can take time to sync.
  • If matched, you'll go through their adoption and home-check process before taking your new dog home.
