Guapie's ideal home
Meet Guapie – he’s a gorgeous, senior gentleman with a lot of love to give! Laid-back, gentle, and loving are all words that we would use to describe this chunky chap. While he can appear to be a little ‘indifferent’ when first getting to know someone, Guapie is a friendly boy and loves spending time with his favourite people. He would be glad to share his home with primary school aged children, so long as they can be respectful around him, as he won’t be up for lots of rough and tumble style play. Guapie can share his home with dogs of a similarly calm and friendly character to his own, but he is unable to live with cats. He adores snuggles on the sofa and would prefer a home where he can be allowed to share the furniture, as he’s keen to sleep on the bed with his humans at night. A garden of his own would be ideal, and even better if it was grassy, as the softer ground is better on his joints.

Despite enduring lots of change recently, Guapie is a resilient chap who seems to take life in his stride. He entered our care through no fault of his own and is currently residing in a temporary foster home but would love to finally settle into his permanent, forever home. Guapie is overweight and will need support from his new family while he’s on his weight-loss journey. While his treats are being restricted, his carers have been giving him healthier options, such as dog-friendly fruits and vegetables, which he has been enjoying. Guapie has begun to show interest in his toys and we feel that he may become even more playful as he starts to feel more agile. Every so often, he gets a burst of energy and likes to bound around like a puppy! If you would like more information about adopting Guapie, who is currently living in a foster home, or would like our team’s help to find your pawfect match, you are very welcome visit us in person at our rehoming centre, in Shoreham. We are open between 12pm and 4pm every day, except for Wednesdays and Fridays when we are closed.
