Ecco's ideal home

Say hello to wonderful Ecco. Ecco is a big, bright, bubbly boy who has now started his search for a new forever family. We would need everyone in his new home to be over the age of 15 due to his size and bouncy nature. Ecco is a loving boy, but does need some help with basic manners as he can get excited and will jump up to say hello. He loves getting out for a daily walk to see his friends but is super strong, so will need adopters who are confident and willing to handle a strong dog on lead. We think Ecco would be best suited to being the only dog in the home, but could absolutely have dog walking buddies. He will happily jump into the car to go out for adventures too. A nice, large, enclosed garden area would be a brilliant chance for him to burn off some energy through enrichment activities. Ecco isn't enjoying kennels much so we are hoping his special someone will come along quick to take him home. It would be great if his potential new adopters could come to the centre for a few meets before taking him home.

Could you be Ecco's perfect match?

Ecco is a 1 year old Labrador cross who loves people and life a lot. He will need adopters who have a keen interest in training and can handle a larger, strong dog. Ecco is happier having a companion with him throughout the day, time being left alone can be gradually built up. If you think you can offer Ecco a space beside you on the sofa please follow the instructions below to apply, don't forget to favourite him!

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
