We are over the moon to announce our waiting list for Ebony & Diesel is now open. It will be a mixed litter of Fox Red, Black & Yellow. This repeat mating has been chosen due to the exceptional puppies produced in the first litter. 

We are a Fully Qualified 5 Star Licensed Higher Standards, Kennel Club Breeders of Extensively Health Tested Pure Bred Labradors. Having been awarded a 5 Star License means that we meet the higher welfare standards which in turn helps potential puppy buyers know that we are doing more to make sure our puppies and their parents are happy and healthy.

We are incredibly proud to be one a handful of Qualified Breeders in the UK having successfully completed the nationally recognised Ofqual Regulated Level 3 Certificate in Dog Breeding, Litter Socialisation and Welfare. 

We are currently studying towards an Ofqual Regulated Level 3 Diploma in Canine Nutrition. We are also studying towards an Ofqual Regulated Level 3 Diploma in Canine Care, Behaviour & Welfare.

We also undertake annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in order to develop new skills and enhance our current abilities in order to be the very best we can.

The ethos of any of our breeding involves dedicating an incredible amount of time & expense with the aim of breeding ethically & responsibly to pass on most importantly superb health to all of our puppies together with the desirable qualities & traits of looks, temperament & confirmation.

As a small Breeder our passion is the Labrador Retriever, our dogs are very much part of the family and spend many hours curled up in front of the Aga or Log Burner. 

By only having a maximum of 2 litters a year this allows us to dedicate all our time and resources into raising our litters to the best of our ability and the fabulous reviews we have received on our Nook on Lyne Website shows our level of commitment. Our girls have 18 months between litters and when they are retired, they are NOT re-homed but instead they enjoy their retirement here with us, they are our family.

We work very closely with our local independent Vet in respect of our Dogs health and our breeding program. She carries out a comprehensive Health Assessment and Gait Evaluation of all of our dogs twice per year in order to establish they are in perfect health.

We are therefore very proud that due to this incredibly hard to find impeccable equally matched CLEAR Health Testing of BOTH the Sire and the Dam ALL puppies in this litter are Guaranteed to be 100% Hereditary Clear of the tested Genetic Conditions currently making them one of the best tested litters by parentage in the UK. 

All puppies will be Hereditary CLEAR of the current 22 Breed Specific Genetic Health Conditions commonly found in the Labrador Retriever. Furthermore the puppies will be Hereditary CLEAR of a further 203 Genetic Health Conditions that could potentially mutate to the Labrador Breed.

Ebony has the most amazing temperament, she has the most loving gentle nature and is a pleasure to own. She has shown a fabulous ability in Obedience Classes/Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme demonstrating superb metal and physical capabilities. 

Diesel the Sire is our own Stud Dog, he is a remarkable dog. He has an absolutely amazing kind gentle temperament that is sought after.

He is a dark fox red shade of yellow in colour, a strong, muscular, athletic boy and a real head turner. He has already produced some fabulous puppies.

He has a superb 5 Generation Pedigree with a tremendous 26 Field Trial Champions.

Our dogs have a Bespoke Health Testing Package far superior to standard Kennel Club Recommendations in respect of both Joint Assessment, DNA and Health Tests.

They also has the Embark DNA Package and have Tested CLEAR with no variants detected of a further 203 Genetic Health Conditions.

Furthermore they have a Certificate of Breed confirming 100% Labrador Retriever.

They have clear eyes, hips and elbows, together with a hip and elbow analysis reports by orthopaedic specialists, confirming their suitability for our breeding program.

Subject to availability we use Highly Respected Orthopaedic Specialists at PupScan who provide an Ultrasound Service subject to availability. By using this Diagnostic Technique Specialists are able to confirm normal hip development of puppies at approximately 6 weeks of age before they leave for their new homes.

The first 16 weeks of a puppies life are crucial for learning & development. 

We have Litter Socialisation Protocols in place from birth with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) starting at day 3 for 14 days. 

Socialisation continues up until the puppies leave us to ensure our puppies are exposed to as many different and relevant physical and audio stimuli as possible. We also offer tailored stimuli where this would be beneficial for new owners.

We undertake comprehensive puppy profiling and work very closely with new owners to understand their family dynamics and establish what it is they want from a puppy. By observing individual puppies from the day they are born and noting the reactions they show to various stimuli over several weeks allows us to gain a better idea of each individual puppies temperament and traits as they develop.We are our puppies voice and it is vital puppies are placed in the correct homes as we want them to thrive not just survive. At Nook on Lyne nobody gets the last puppy instead everyone gets the right puppy.

We provide a complete package of funded professional support including a remote Puppy training course with Zigzag together with access to 3 Qualified Dog Trainers. 

We also fund a 12 months subscription to veterinary expertise 24/7 365 days a year with VidiVet.

Puppies are born and reared in our home, they are started on a worming programme at 2 weeks old and are also wormed at 4,6 & 8 weeks with Drontal, they are weighed daily for the the first 2 weeks to ensure adequate daily weight gain, then weekly until 8 weeks. They are microchipped at 6 weeks and vet checked between 7 and 8 weeks at which time they will be given their first vaccinations of Canine Parvovirus and Leptospirosis 2 or 4 depending on your vet recommendation for your Geographical Area.

Puppies will be familiar with a crate, started toilet training outside using AstroTurf and introduced to movement for car journeys. 

They will have excellent whistle recall before they leave at 8/9 weeks old and all new owners are provided with a ACME Dog Whistle 210.5 to continue with recall.
