Dexter's ideal home
Dexter is a beautiful and bright lad looking for owners with an interest in training. He is a sensitive boy at times and will need patient owners who will be understanding of his worries and give him plenty of time to find his paws. Dexter is looking to be the only dog in the home but would benefit from further socialisation outside the home. Dexter is looking for a calm home environment in an adult only home with few visitors to begin with. He is not always a fan of sharing some things- this includes the sofa and high value food items, he may need further positive based training/management with resource guarding (something the behaviour team will be happy to help with before he goes home!). Dexter has come in with limited information so may need training in all areas- including housetraining and time left alone may need to be built up leaving him with things to do and a comfy place to relax. He can come across as more confident than how he seems and when he gets himself into a pickle he can sometimes become mouthy. He will need access to his own secure garden when he can explore and play his favourite games with his new family.
