Toby's ideal home

Toby is a sensitive lad who is looking for a quiet, adult-only home. A secure garden is absolutely essential for him as he loves games of fetch and will want somewhere quiet where he can relax, play and toilet without the worry of other dogs. He does need to be the only pet in the home, but he is doing really well on his dog socialisation training and has some walking buddies at the centre. Unknown pooches can still be a worry so he would like to continue this training and we will provide ongoing support with this. We are looking for adopters who are happy to make multiple trips to the centre as he will need several meets before heading home.

Could you be Toby's perfect match?

Toby is an 8-year-old Labrador cross. He can take a little bit of time to build up trust around new people and isn’t one for fuss and cuddles but adores his play and will show his affection through endless games of fetch! Toby would love patient and understanding adopters that will work with him and understand his needs so that he can flourish. He would love to live in a quiet area where he can go for outdoor expeditions without bumping into lots of other dogs but is also happy to jump into the car so could be driven to peaceful walking spots. When he was in a home he did settle when left for a couple of hours. He has been in kennels a while now so might benefit from that being built up slowly when in his new home. Toby is a smart boy that has remained housetrained during his stay here. We are certain that in the right home Toby will make a rewarding addition.
