Meet Harry, the adorable three-year-old lurcher cross retriever on a quest to find his perfect forever home. Harry is a special pup in need of a patient and understanding adult-only family who can offer him the love and care he truly deserves. Harry craves a calm and quiet environment with minimal visitors, he is a sensitive soul and loud noises can unsettle him and although he is a good with other dogs, he’s what we call a frustrated greeter and has shown some reactivity towards other dogs when out and about. However, he will shower his human family with love and affection, forming a deep bond that will last a lifetime. At first, Harry can be unsure of new people, but once he feels comfortable, he'll steal your heart with his silly and loveable nature. Hary will need multiple meets at our centre to build a bond to show you this side of him. This playful pooch has boundless energy and delights in running, playing, and learning new tricks. Training sessions will be a wonderful experience, as Harry eagerly soaks up new skills and enjoys showing us all his tricks!

Harry must wear a muzzle and be on a lead when out in public. Harry wears his muzzle because he finds strangers frightening and needs space to help him cope. We don’t want Harry to feel unhappy and this can be avoided most of the time by walking him at quieter times and in quiet locations, however you can never predict what is going to happen or what you are going to encounter so wearing his muzzle keeps him safe and secure. The main thing to remember is that all dogs are brilliant, and they all have their own personalities and quirks, and they all deserve a loving home, even the ones behind the muzzles. One of Harry's favorite pastimes is playing with bouncy rubber toys, a sight that will undoubtedly bring a smile to your face. He also enjoys enrichment such as snuffle matts, Kongs and destruction boxes! Harry will get in the car for adventures, but it isn’t his favorite place so journeys should be kept short and simple to begin with. If you are looking for a devoted companion who will keep you entertained with his antics and be a constant source of love, Harry is the one for you. With time, patience, and a loving approach, Harry will blossom into the perfect canine companion and fill your life with joy and laughter.
