Darcey

9 weeks

Darcey's ideal home

Darcey is looking for a loving home with adopters who can take her on fun adventures and will give her all the love and care she deserves. This loveable girl can live with children aged 8 years and over who are comfortable with a larger dog and can play nicely with her and leave her to relax and rest when needed. Darcey could live with a calm and relaxed dog who will happily coexist with her and will occasionally engage in play, though this is not a necessity, she would be happy with friendly walking buddies. She cannot live with cats or other small furries. She has a little training under her belt, she does a lovely “sit” and is eager to learn new things if a tasty treat is on offer. She will need a refresher on her housetraining so access to a secure garden is needed. Darcey could be left alone for up to 2-4 hours, this would need to be built up slowly after she has had time to settle into her new home. Darcey will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 – 10 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Darcey's perfect match?

Sweet and affectionate Darcey is a 10 year old Labrador is a real gentle lass who loves a fuss, she will happily lean in for more. True to her breed, she is a foodie girl and will eat anything on offer, she takes it gently from the hand. She isn’t really into toys, but loves a sock and will run around with them like it’s a game. She loves her doggie buddies and will happily explore and play with them. This wonderful girl is looking for her new home.

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
