About This Dog for Adoption

Maggi's ideal home

3 year old Maggi has come to us through no fault of her own, she is now ready to find a forever home. Maggi can live with children 8+ who are comfortable around large energetic dogs and will thrive in a family where everyone can engage with her. She can be worried around other dogs and is not keen on dogs approaching her so will need to be the only dog in the home but will benefit from ongoing dog socialisation. Maggi came to us housetrained (odd accident to be expected when she first goes home) and can be left up to 4 hours once she has settled in her new home and feels safe and secure with her new family. Use of a secure outdoor space where Maggi can relax without other dogs around will be beneficial.

Could you be Maggi's perfect match?

Maggi loves to be with people and is super friendly, she enjoys human interaction and gets excited when she knows she is going out for a walk, she is looking for a family that can match her energy and take her on lots of nice walks to sniff about and explore. Maggi will need mental stimulation as well as physical exercise, she is a clever girl and loves to use her brain and has shown she really enjoys enrichment, one of her favourite things to do is a snuffle mat or a stuffed Kong filled with tasty treats. If you have room for this lovable girl to join your family apply today and see if you are a match for our Maggi.

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Labrador Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
