About This Dog for Adoption

Oscar and Charlie's ideal home

Oscar and Charlie are an adorable Labrador duo, each with their own unique charm, looking for a loving home where they can stay together. They’d thrive in a calm household with committed adopters who can fill their lives with fun, while working with them on some basic training such as ‘loose-lead walking’ as they can both be very strong at times. A home with a garden would be ideal—somewhere they can stretch their legs, enjoy the outdoors, and gently greet new visitors at their own pace. Due to their sensitivity to loud noises like hoovers, thunderstorms, or sudden bangs, both boys would benefit from a designated quiet space to retreat to when feeling overwhelmed. While they are happy in the presence of other dogs on walks, Oscar and Charlie will need to be the only pets in the home. They could live with primary-school aged children who are confident around two big and bouncy boys! Mealtimes should be a peaceful, separate experience for each of them, away from each other and any children, to help them feel at ease.

Could you be Oscar and Charlie's perfect match?

Oscar is the bouncy, joyful heart of the pair—true to his “Tigger” nickname, he’s a happy-go-lucky character with a zest for life that’s wonderfully contagious. Charlie, lovingly described as “Eeyore,” is his gentle, affectionate counterpart who adores human attention and melts hearts with his soulful eyes and calm nature. Together, they make a perfect team, always ready for a car ride or countryside stroll! They’re both full of character, with so much love ready to give, and are looking for adopters who will celebrate their goofy ways, continue supporting their training, while also supporting Charlie’s weight loss journey.

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Labrador Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
