About This Dog for Adoption
Waldo's ideal home
Waldo is looking for a calm and predictable home, with minimal visitors initially. He is looking for adopters who will give him time and patience to settle in and build up relationships. He could live with children aged 14 and over who will understand when he needs space to rest and relax. Waldo can be worried by bouncy and vocal dogs and sometimes struggles seeing dogs when out and about, so is looking to be the only pet in the home, with no visiting family dogs, and quiet walking areas nearby. Once he has settled into his new home he could potentially have calm walking buddies. He has a little training under his belt, does a lovely “sit” and is happy to engage in short and sweet training sessions with the help of a tasty treat or two. He has been housetrained in the past but may need a refresher in his new home, so access to a private, secure garden with high fencing is needed. Waldo can settle nicely in the home, he could be left for 2-4 hours, this would need to be built up once he has had time to settle into his new home. He will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home and may need a home trial to make sure he transitions smoothly into his new home. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes 7-10 days, but this can be longer depending on the needs of the dog.
Could you be Waldo's perfect match?
Waldo is an absolutely gorgeous 2 year 8 month old Labrador Whippet Cross. He takes his time to trust new people but one a bond is built he is a cuddly boy who loves to be by your side! He adores his toys and loves bouncing around in the sunshine with a teddy and when play time is over, he likes to get all snuggly in his bed. True to his Labrador side he is a really foody boy and this will be key to winning his trust and engaging him on positive, reward based training when he goes home! Although he is a nervous little guy, with the right home, support and gentle guidance this boy will be a complete joy to have in your home.
