About This Dog

Chuckie's ideal home

Chuckie can live with other pets and teenagers. He has come from a hoarding situation and is unlikely to be house trained. He's going to need all his basic training, and patience and kindness.

Could you be Chuckie's perfect match?

Chuckie has had an unconventional life so far. He was rescued from terrible living conditions alongside hundreds of other dogs and has spent a couple of months getting used to his new environment. Chuckie has really made progress but still lacks confidence and we're hoping to find the perfect family to help him feel better about life. He gets a lot of strength from his kennel mate and we think sharing a home with an existing dog would do wonders for him. Chuckie is very fearful when outside and the slightest noise can cause him to be easily spooked, so he needs to be monitored whenever he's in the garden. He's only recently begun to go for walks and his adopters will also need to take a very slow approach to introducing him to the world. When he's familiar with someone, Chuckie can be very affectionate and will actively seek affection in return. A safe space in the home would do him good, somewhere he can retreat to if things are a little overwhelming for him.
