About This Dog for Adoption

Asta's ideal home

Meet Asta! This handsome young man is ready to bound into your life with all the love you could ever need. Asta has been on the search for his forever home with not much luck, this is because of his super bouncy personality and the fact that he sometimes forgets his size. As he is a larger puppy that needs some help with his basic training we are looking for a family that are used to bigger dogs and can take the time to help him be the best dog we know he can be. Asta can live with children ages 12 and up as long as they are happy to be around a bouncy dog. He does love other dogs so could live with the right one after successful meets at the rehoming center. We feel that a decent sized secure garden would be beneficial for Asta to help with house training and so he can explore his new world through enrichment.

Could you be Asta's perfect match?

Asta is a very lovely young Labrador, at only 9 months he has found himself in kennels and needs to find himself an active family that love the outdoors as much as he does. This friendly pup will happily jump into the car to join you on your next adventure out. He is happy to meet everyone out and about but does need training on keeping all four paws on the floor. He will also need some training on settling in his new home but we feel with the right adopters he will shine through. He brings a big smile to everyone who meets him and is definitely a bundle of fun and energy. Asta loves his food, the water and people a lot - a very typical loving Labrador. If you feel like Asta could be the right fit for your life please follow the steps below to put in an application and remember to favourite him.

Labrador Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Labrador Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
