About This Dog for Adoption

Ozzy's ideal home

Ozzy is an exuberant, two-year-old Labrador who loves life! He’s now looking for a family who will embrace his energy, and who can be include him in all the fun. He can live with confident secondary-school aged children, who have experience around boisterous large dogs, as he will show his exuberance by jumping up and can mouth when over-excited. Ozzy can have walking buddies with other playful dogs, who will embrace his energetic nature as he still needs to build his social skills. However, he will need to be the only pet at home. A garden of his own would be preferred, so that he has an off-lead area to zoom about in, and to support him with his toilet training. His new family should be sure to build up the times they leave him very gradually, as he does find it challenging when left alone. Ozzy does have ongoing medication for seizures and our adoptions team will be happy to discuss this with you in further detail if you have any questions.

Could you be Ozzy's perfect match?

Playful and fun-loving in his nature, Ozzy is bound to make for the most wonderful companion to adopters who can provide him with the enriching lifestyle that he longs for. Long muddy walks in exciting new places, playtime with his toys, and food-based enrichment puzzles will make him a very happy boy. Ozzy does need to lose a little weight, so his family should be ready to support him with this to keep him feeling his best self.
