About This Dog for Adoption

Max's ideal home

Meet Max the super sweet and snuggly almost 12 year old Labrador who is a real chilled out older gent. He is a real snuggle bug and will happily sit on the sofa and cuddle up next to you for a good snooze. Max isn’t really interested in toys, he prefers the company of his favourite humans instead. They likes a little sniff and explore on his walks, he will often be found bringing up the rear, taking his time to enjoy the views. This wonderful guy is ready to find his new home.

Could you be Max's perfect match?

Max is looking for a calm and relaxed home with adopters who will take him on leisurely strolls, will play games with him and cuddle up for quiet snoozes on the sofa. He can live with older primary school aged children who will play with him nicely and will understand when he needs a break and give him space to relax and rest when needed. Max would like to be the only pet in the home, he would be happy with polite and friendly walking buddies. He has some training under his belt, he knows his name and does a lovely “sit” & “bed”, he is happy to engage in training with the help of a tasty treat. He likes to potter and explore at his leisure so access to a private, secure garden is needed. He can settle in the home as long as he has a comfy bed or sofa to curl up on, so could be left for up to 1-2 hours, this would need to be built up gradually after he has had time to settle into his new home. He will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
