About This Dog

Cookie's ideal home

Sweet and playful cookie is an 1 year old Labrador Cross who is so much fun to be around once she knows you. Once she has come out of her shell, she loves to play, she is not too fussy on what toys she plays with, she will zoom around after them and throw them in the air, she will happily play alone or with a human buddy. Once she has a bond with you she loves a cuddle and really cannot get close enough to you, she will give you big sloppy kisses all over your face. This little shadow is on the lookout for her forever home.

Could you be Cookie's perfect match?

Cookie is looking for a calm home and predictable home with minimal visitors, especially at the start, to help her settle. She is looking for loving adopters who can take her on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help her settle in and give her all the love and attention she deserves. She is sweet girl, but takes some time to get to know people and build a relationship, so could live with older secondary school children who will give her time to settle in and get to know them at a pace she is comfortable with. Cookie could live an established dog who will happily play with her, but will tell her when playtime is over, this will be pending successful meetings at the centre, living with another dog is not a necessity, she would love to have playful and friendly walking buddies. Cookie very little training under her belt, she is a clever girl and would be able to focus in short, sweet sessions once she has built a bond with her adopter. She is looking for a home with a private, secure garden for her to potter about and explore in at her leisure. Cookie can settle nicely in the home so could be left for up to 4 hours, but this would need to be built up slowly once she has had time to settle into her new home. Cookie will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home, and will possibly need home visits so our behaviour team can assist her settling in, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Hugo's ideal home Hugo is a very handsome 1yr old Labrador Mastiff Crossbreed who would love to find a new home with people who LOVE big dogs! He is very strong and unfortunately struggles to keep his paws on the floor. This all due to his giddy, playful personality, but his new family must be able to hold him safely on lead and be comfortable around big strong dogs generally.
