About This Dog for Adoption

Misty's ideal home

Misty is a clever girl ready to find her new home. She is best suited to an adult only home but has potential to live with children aged 16+. Misty would like to be the only dog in her new home and will benefit from continued socialisation out on walks. Although we have no history for her with cats, she does have potential to live with them following a successful scent swap and a gradual introduction in the home. Misty is on pain medication which will be discussed in full with any potential adopters.

Could you be Misty's perfect match?

Misty is a 3 year old Labrador cross who has come into our care as a stray. We have no prior home history for her, so she will appreciate a patient family that can introduce her to the basics and more. Despite this, she can be left alone for a few hours and does try her best to be housetrained. Misty will jump into a car but shows worried body language so will benefit from further confidence building in this area. She is a smart cookie who will thrive in a home where there are lots of opportunities to progress her training.

Dogs Trust Adoption Process

Thinking of adopting through Dogs Trust? Here's what to expect before you start your application.

  • Register your interest in adoption on the Dogs Trust website - you can't apply for specific dogs directly.
  • Create an account to favourite dogs you're interested in and help the team understand your preferences.
  • Dogs Trust will match you with dogs that fit your lifestyle and home environment.
  • Some dogs listed here may already be rehomed or reserved, as updates can take time to sync.
  • If matched, you'll go through their adoption and home-check process before taking your new dog home.
