About This Dog

Sully's ideal home

Sully is a 1-year-old Labrador Retriever cross who is looking for a loving and active home to call his own. He’s a large, playful boy with a very sweet nature and lots of affection to give, so he’ll need a family who can continue his training and give him the time and attention he deserves. Sully has lived with other dogs and enjoys their company, often wanting to play, so he could live with another dog following successful introductions. He has also lived with young children, but due to his excitable and bouncy nature, he would be best suited to a home with children aged 3+ who are confident around larger dogs.

Sully can be left alone for around 4-6 hours and is comfortable settling in his crate, although this is not ideal and he would much prefer a home where someone is around for more of the day. He may become over-excited when his owners return, which can lead to some scratching or chewing around doorways. He is looking for a patient and understanding home that can help him manage his excitement and continue building good habits.

Could you be Sully's perfect match?

Sully is a lovely, affectionate boy who absolutely adores people and loves being part of the action. He is very friendly with visitors and enjoys meeting new people, making him a great companion for a sociable household. He has a playful personality and loves games like fetch, as well as learning new tricks. He’s a clever boy who is eager to please and responds well to training.
Out on walks, Sully can be strong on the lead and may need some ongoing training, but he is already halti-trained which is a great starting point. He is generally good around traffic and enjoys getting out and about, although he doesn’t currently get as much exercise as he once did, so will benefit from gradually building this back up.
Sully travels in the car but can become a little stressed and excitable, so will need support to feel more relaxed on journeys. Around other animals, he has shown interest but has not chased cats, although he may chase birds.
Sully is a fun, loving dog with a big heart and lots of potential. With the right guidance, patience, and an active home, he will make a loyal and rewarding companion who will bring plenty of joy and energy into his new family’s life.

Ralph could live with another dog as he loves everyone he meets, but wouldn't want them to be too bouncy as he is quite a calm boy. Ralph came to us through no fault of his own after a baby was introduced to the home and Ralph didn't adjust
