About This Dog

Boston's ideal home

Boston is a lovely 2-year-old boy who is confident meeting new people and happily greets everyone with a waggy tail! He can become a little excitable and jumpy, often seeking reassurance from those around him. Boston can be shy when first meeting other dogs, but he soon warms up within minutes. He isn’t massively playful and would prefer a calm, independent canine companion who can help show him that the world isn’t such a scary place. Boston can live with calm dogs and secondary school-aged children who are able to understand his needs and give him space when required.

Could you be Boston's perfect match?

Boston enjoys exploring but likes to know his handlers are nearby, especially when he finds new places or situations worrying. He will need patient adopters who are willing to help him build his confidence at his own pace. Boston cannot initially be left alone, and any time apart from his adopters will need to be introduced and built up very gradually. His new family will also need to commit to multiple visits to the centre before taking him home, allowing him time to build a trusting relationship with them. Boston is a very affectionate and rewarding boy who, with the right support, has the potential to truly blossom in his new home.
