Kensi's ideal home

Kensi can live with teenagers but will need to be the only pet at home. She is house trained and can be left alone for two or three hours once she has settled in. Kensi must be kept away from wildlife and will need a secure garden.

Could you be Kensi's perfect match?

Kensi has had a colourful past, she was first found tied up in a car park in Romania at just ten weeks old, and swiftly found her way into a rescue there. Rehomed in the UK a few weeks later, Kensi quickly settled into home life and attended training classes and had the life of Riley! Unfortunately she has a real interest in wildlife and almost pulled her owner over a few times in an attempt to chase deer, and it was thought that Kensi would be better suited to a younger, more active family that could manage her. Kensi loves her walks and exploring and though she was rather afraid of our large training barn, she had no problem with office spaces. She may take a little time to get used to a new home environment, so her new family will need to be patient with her. She just loves to be made a fuss of, and when brushing her she will nudge us to keep going! Kensi enjoys being busy and has chewed items in the past when bored, it's best that she has someone with her most of the time, and things such as snuffle mats or puzzle feeders to keep her busy and out of mischief! When it comes to other dogs, Kensi is very selective. She can be very wiggly and receptive to some, and quite the opposite to others. We do know she has a dislike for black Labradors. She'll need to be the only dog at home, but with some nice walking pals whose company she enjoys. Kensi may benefit from being muzzled trained as she has been problematic around garden and woodland wildlife.

Labrador Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
