Bailey
Bailey's ideal home
Bailey is looking for a home free from other pets and where any children are over the age of 16 and confident around large exuberant dogs. He is house trained and can be left by himself for four hours or so, once settled.
Could you be Bailey's perfect match?
Seven year old Bailey is a big bouncy boy, who loves people, attention and a good old butt scratch but he is struggling with his stress levels here at the centre so may need some time and patience while he settles in at home. He is a typical Labrador with a love for all things edible, and enjoys carrying a toy or three around on his walks! Bailey travels well in the car so would love to join his family on their adventures, and given that he is known to particularly enjoy bath time, you won't need to worry if he gets himself in a muddy puddle or two. He is a big lad and very strong on lead so we would advise that potential adopters only apply for Bailey if they can handle him on lead. His training to help him with some loose lead walking should be continued. Bailey is smart and already knows some basic commands, but he would certainly benefit from continued training in basic obedience to help build his confidence, lower his stress levels and help him adjust to his new life. In the home, Bailey has been worried by movements around the house, particularly from men, and visitors to the home should be kept to a minimum whilst he finds his feet and settles with his new family. Bailey chooses to avoid other dogs when he can, and some quiet, unintrusive pals would do his confidence the world of good, but he shouldn't be forced into any interactions with other dogs.
