About This Dog for Adoption
Benji's ideal home
Benji is looking for a home with active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures and provide him with fun and mentally stimulating enrichment to keep his brain busy. Adopters with knowledge of his breed and grooming needs is preferred. He can live with secondary school aged children who are confident with a large, playful dog and can give him space to rest when needed. Benji can be a little frustrated and intense around other dogs, so is looking to be the only pet in the home with no visiting pets, so he can enjoy all of his adopter’s attention to himself, he could have friendly walking buddies. Benji has some training under his belt, he does a lovely “sit”, he is a clever boy, but can get distracted so could engage in training in short, sweet sessions with the help of a tasty treat. He will need a refresher on his housetraining in his new home so a private, secure garden with high fencing is needed. Benji could settle in the home, so could be left for up to 1-2 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle in. Benji will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
Could you be Benji's perfect match?
Beautiful and bouncy Benji is a 1 and a half year old Labradoodle with oodles of energy. This friendly, funny lad loves tennis balls, he will pick them up and run around with them, he hasn’t really mastered the rules of fetch yet. Benji is a busy boy so is often brief with his cuddles before he goes off exploring elsewhere. On occasion he will pick up his blanket and wander around with it for comfort and may come and lean on you for reassurance. This goofy boy is looking for his new home.
