About This Dog for Adoption

Snoop's ideal home

Snoop is an energetic, bouncy boy who came into our care after being found as a stray. He can become overwhelmed quite easily and this results in him showing some mounting behaviours. For this reason he’s looking for a quiet, adult only home with understanding owners who will be willing to build his confidence and read his body language. He can live with other confident, playful dogs. Any potential match would be subject to a mix in centre prior to rehoming. Snoop has a historic injury which has affected his walking stance. This means he is on painkillers long-term and will need his exercise to be managed. Our vet team will talk to his new family before adoption to give full information about this.

Could you be Snoop's perfect match?

Snoop is a 1 year old Lab/Malinois cross who is looking for a family to continue his training. He’s a very affectionate and clever boy but has struggled settling into kennel life. Snoop is much happier now though, and now he’s more relaxed he has already made strides with his training. We don’t know anything about his former life or if he’s ever lived in a home so he’ll appreciate a patient family who can intro him to the basics. This includes housetraining, being left alone and car travel. We’re sure he will become a fantastic companion in the right home, he just needs a helping hand to get there.

Labrador Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Labrador Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Labrador Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
