About This Dog for Adoption
Loki's ideal home
Loki is a one-year-old Labrador with a big heart and even bigger enthusiasm for life. Still very young, he’s looking for caring adopters who can commit to ongoing training and gentle guidance as Loki continues to learn about the world around him. A home with a garden would suit him well, giving him space to burn off energy and continue his toilet training. Loki finds being left alone quite difficult at the moment, so he needs someone around for most of the day, willing to build up alone time gradually and patiently. He needs to work on calm approaches and polite behaviour with new dogs so social interactions should be approached with care and consideration. Loki could live on the outskirts of a city or in a small town, where quieter walking routes are accessible. He’d be happiest living with confident, kind adults or families with secondary school aged children who can handle a bouncy boy.
Could you be Loki's perfect match?
At his core, Loki is an absolute sweetheart who loves people with his whole body. He’s incredibly affectionate, wiggling with excitement and enthusiastically offering cuddles (often by jumping up for a hug). He’s friendly to everyone he meets and he adores food and toys, happily entertaining himself by trotting around with a toy in his mouth. Out on walks, he’s lovely, strolling along on a loose lead until an exciting smell or dog catches his attention. Overall, he brings warmth, humour and affection to every interaction, and for the right adopter, he’ll be a loving companion who just wants to be close to his people.
