About This Dog

Rupert's ideal home

Sweet and playful boy Rupert is a 3 year old Labrador who loves his toys. He will bounce and bound around after a toy if it is thrown for him, although watch out when he brings it back because he sometimes uses your legs to stop. He will happily play on his own too, tossing the toy into the air and catching it, he loves teddies but does tend to defluff them. Once he knows you he likes a fuss, he will sit at your feet and lean his head on you, back and neck scratches are his favourite. This cute and cuddly guy is looking for his new home.

Could you be Rupert's perfect match?

Rupert is looking for a family who are home most of the time, in a home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He can be wary of strangers so could live with older secondary school children who will be calm and let him approach on his terms, children who will play nicely with him and give him space to rest when he needs. Rupert could live with a calm and established dog who can help him build his confidence, this will be pending successful meets at the centre. Living with a dog is not a necessity, he would be happy with calm and friendly walking buddies. He has some training under his belt, he does a lovely “sit” and he is eager to learn with the help of a tasty treat! He would like a home with a private garden to have a potter around and play in and build his independence. Rupert does worry when left, he would like someone home the majority of the time especially to begin with, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Rupert will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
