About This Dog

Ethel's ideal home

Ethel is a sweet 7-month-old Labrador cross who is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can continue to grow in confidence. She can be nervous when meeting new people and experiencing unfamiliar situations, but once she gets to know you, she is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than receiving cuddles and attention from her human companions. Ethel enjoys spending time outdoors and playing with toys, although she much prefers a fuss from her favourite people. She settles well when left alone for short periods, but any time spent alone should be increased gradually as she settles into her new home. Due to her age and lack of impulse control, Ethel would be best suited to a home with secondary school-aged children or older.

Could you be Ethel's perfect match?

Ethel would thrive with adopters who can provide her with reassurance, ongoing training, and plenty of love as she develops into a confident adult dog. She is friendly with other dogs and could happily live with an older, confident canine companion who is comfortable around typical puppy behaviour. Ethel would benefit from attending puppy training classes to help build her confidence and manners. Because of her sensitive nature, potential adopters should be prepared to visit her at the centre several times before adoption to allow a bond to develop and help her feel secure. For someone willing to invest the time and patience she needs, Ethel will make a wonderfully loving and devoted companion.
