Billy's ideal home
Billy is a handsome Collie cross Lab looking for a loving home with adult adopters. Billy is looking to be the only dog in the home and will need a home without cats, small furies or livestock. Billy has a successful ‘introduction plan’ to visitors to the home; he is worried by unknown people and is seeking a home without too many visitors. He is happy to be left alone at home for a few hours at a time. He is housetrained and he travels well in the car. Billy has been forming bonds quicker with females, when it comes to males, he has been taking a little bit longer to make friends. Potential adopters will need to come to the centre to meet Billy a few times before taking him home.

Billy greets people he knows with excitement and a waggy tail. With ‘his people’ he is affectionate and adores a fuss. He enjoys toy play and having a game of ball with you. Billy is doing well living off-site in a foster home in a quiet location, he has enjoyed the beach at quieter times, and he does well in non-busy areas. Billy is not used to socialising with other dogs, is worried by them, and chooses to keep his distance. He is motivated by treats and he knows a sit, paw, down, leave, stay, and he has good name response.
