About This Dog

Charlie's ideal home

Charlie is a wonderful 6-year-old Labrador with a big heart, a soft nature and a real love of being close to his people. He’s really friendly with his foster carers and enjoys affection, cuddles and being part of whatever is going on.
Charlie has some lovely manners in the home. He settles well overnight in his foster carer’s room and is more than happy to enjoy a lie-in. He loves treats and will sit beautifully for them, which will be useful for continuing his training.
Charlie enjoys being brushed and will lean into the brush for a good pamper session. In the garden, he likes sniffing around and investigating what’s going on around him. Charlie also enjoys toys when he’s in a playful mood.
Charlie has been gentle around the elderly Sheltie in his foster home and is happy walking around the house with him, so he could live with another dog following successful introductions. He can also live with children of any age and would like to have a garden where he can potter, sniff and enjoy outdoor time. Charlie travels well in the car, jumping into the boot happily and settling nicely once secured.
Charlie is a strong boy, so he will need a confident handler who is comfortable managing a Labrador on lead and continuing his training with calm, positive guidance. If you’re looking for a loving, cuddly companion who enjoys being close, pottering in the garden and settling by your side, Charlie could be a brilliant match. AWE licence number 13090 by West Lothian Council.
