Hamish

Hamish's ideal home

Hamish is a very special and unique chap who has a neurological condition which does mean he can have some small visible tremors and may to take a little longer to learn new things. Gorgeous boy Hamish has led a sheltered life and therefore finds new situations scary and overwhelming. He will need patient and understanding owners who appreciate it may take a while to build a bond. Hamish is looking for a quieter home with few visitors so there isn't many coming and goings. He isn't comfortable going out of the house for walks at the moment, but loves the garden and loves to sunbathe! So a secure garden for him to enjoy would be what Hamish is looking for.

Could you be Hamish's perfect match?

Hamish will need at least one other dog in the home to help build his confidence. Hamish's new brother/sisters would need to come along to the centre to ensure they get along and a few meets between Hamish and your dog may be required. He is happy being left home alone for a few hours and is partially housetrained. Hamish is looking for a home with a nice calm environment and for occupants to be 16 and over. Everybody in the home will need to understand it may take Hamish a while to feel comfortable to approach them and things need to be very slow and on Hamish's terms to help him build trust and confidence.
