About This Dog for Adoption

Mia's ideal home

Meet beautiful Mia, our 9 year old Shar Pei x Labrador. She's a nervous girl looking for calm, patient and understanding adopters. She will need her own secure garden. She will need to be the only dog in the home and no cats. She can live with children over 14 years. She would prefer a home with minimal leaving hours that can be built up gradually at her own pace. Mia can be worried meeting new people so she will need adopters who are comfortable with muliple meets before adoption.

Could you be Mia's perfect match?

Mia is a sensitive girl who would love adopters who have the time to help her feel settled and build her confidence at her own pace. She can be wary when first meeting people. She prefers to meet people in her own time. Once she gets to know you she likes to bring her toys to you, her favourites are balls and squeaky toys. She enjoys going for walks but prefers quieter areas, especially where she has space from other dogs as she can be worried by them. She will happily jump in the car and settles on the back seat for walks a little further afield. Once she knows you she's a really affectionate girl and the more settled she's getting in her foster home the more playful side we're getting to see. Mia has so much potential and so much love to give to her new family. Mia is currently in a foster home and so isn't at the centre.
