About This Dog

Toto's ideal home

Inquisitive boy Toto is a 6 and a half year old Labrador cross Spaniel with great big puppy dog eyes! This wonderful boy LOVES his food! He will do just about anything for a treat, he even does a default sit if there is food around. He can be a playful boy, he likes a good game of Find its and Tuggy with his raggy toy. He does like to take a toy with him on walks, he carries it around with him like a security blanket. This foodie boy is looking for his new home.

Could you be Toto's perfect match?

Toto is looking for a calm and predictable home with a loving and active family who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He is a friendly boy but does like time to himself so could live with calm secondary school children who will read when he would like space and leave him to rest and relax when needed. Toto could live with another dog that will happily co-exist with him, this will be pending successful meets at the centre. Living with a dog is not a necessity, though he would benefit from having polite and calm walking buddies who will help him to build confidence around socialising with other dogs, as full on dogs worry him. Toto has a little training under his belt, he does a lovely “sit”, he can be enticed to engage in training in short, sweet sessions especially if a tasty treat is on offer. He would like a home with a private or communal, secure garden for him to potter about in at his leisure. Toto can settle in the home when left, he could be left for up to 4 hours, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Toto is on daily medication and will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
